Malta

In 2008, an International Cooperation Agreement was signed between CERN and Malta concerning the development of scientific and technical cooperation in research projects. Scientific and technical collaboration between the University of Malta and CERN started in the fields of physics, engineering and information and communications technology. The University of Malta is a member of the FCC collaboration.

Malta is making much progress in developing its relations with CERN and it is expected that collaboration with CERN will be strengthened in the near term with participation in the LHC physics programme, accelerator engineering and Grid computing.

Students from Malta have participated in the CERN Summer Student Programme on an annual basis.
