Kazakhstan’s original participation in the early ATLAS Collaboration works had lapsed due to the lack of a sufficently strong high-energy particle physics community at that time, with the educational and research infrastructure focused then mostly on nuclear physics. Since 2010 the relations with Kazakhstan have been developing, mostly concentraiting on educational activities, resulting in 2016 in closer scientific and political contracts directed towards establishing a mututally beneficial Co-operation with Kazakhstan.
