Ghana

An internship with the CERN library in 2007 on digital library techniques, funded by the UNESCO International Basic Sciences Programme, enabled contact to be established with the Physics Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). In 2007 and 2010, Ghanaians participated in the CERN High-School Teacher programme, and students participate to the Summer Student programmes. KNUST has signed an Expression of Interest with the ATLAS and CMS experiments with a view to further training of students.
