The Fundraising & Partnerships section is mandated by CERN to be a strategic and operative support to theCERN & Society Foundation, and to advise CERN fundraising strategy and philanthropic efforts at large, in compliance with CERN’s fundraising standards, including the Ethical Policy and the Policy for the Recognition of Donors.

The CERN & Society Foundation was founded by CERN in 2014 to connect CERN’s science, creativity and innovation with society to unlock solutions to global challenges.

Within the scope of its mandate, FP carries out active fundraising for projects within the CERN & Society Foundation portfolio, conducts the due diligence process, acts as a contact point for all philanthropic fundraising activities at CERN and supports the Fundraising & Advisory Board in providing its recommendations to the Director-General.

The section also provides advice and support to donors in identifying the project(s) that best matches their priorities, the most appropriate way of giving and the way in which CERN would recognise their support.
