The Visit & Event Operation section is responsible for providing operational and technical support for CERN’s outreach offer (guided tours, exhibitions, outreach activities in the local area) and events for the public, for the CERN community and for external partners.
Mandate
The mandate includes:
- Inform the visitors on the CERN outreach activities (exhibitions, lab workshops, science show, guided tours) and practical information to visit CERN through visit.cern website and other communication channels.
- Manage visits request for groups (schools, universities and other groups) and the operational aspects of their visit programmes (guides, transport, safety etc.)
- Manage the CERN Guides Community: communication, promotion, training, evaluation
- Manage CERN Science Gateway operations (reception, signage, material etc.).
- Manage and operate CERN Shop at Science Gateway.
- Manage requests and provide operational support for public, CERN and private events held in CERN Science Gateway campus spaces and in the local area.
- Participate to the development of outreach activities portfolio in collaboration with the Education, Communication and Outreach Group and other CERN Departments and collaborations.
