CERN and Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia (CONACYT) from Paraguay signed, in January 2019, an International Cooperation Agreement (ICA) concerning scientific and technical cooperation in High-Energy Physics. This agreement defines the framework for the emerging Paraguayan scientific and technical community to contribute to CERN’s scientific programme.

Discussions are ongoing with a team from the Universidad Nacional de Asuncion on their participation to the CERN experimental programme as well as capacity building in particular technology areas.
